...and thank goodness for that because right now my finances are dodgier than Northern Rock's and it's another five-week month. Pesky leap years.

Weekend highlights:

* Taking two small children to see Martha http://www.catherinewheels.co.uk/martha.htm
at Strathpeffer Pavilion. Their reaction was as entertaining for me as the show itself...

* Attending a four-year-old's birthday party at Bogbain Farm (ever tried filming kids on those motorised scooters while running backwards...?)

* Unexpected weather windows bringing blasts of warm sunshine

* The arrival of my little sister, freshly baked fruit loaf in hand

* Another film night, this time The Lookout. Reviews of Martha and The Lookout should be online by Monday morning (www.ross-shirejournal.co.uk) for what their worth.

* Finding the free (naturally) software to convert voice recordings into something my Mac will do business with ALL BY MYSELF! This justifies purchase of digital voice recorder in a sale and puts a couple of hobby projects on a full-steam-ahead basis.

Now if I can just find the time to write a feature I've been wanting to get out of my notebook and into the Ross-shire Journal, I'll feel even better.
