Good to see No Country for Old Men winning an Oscar or two. Javier whatsisname is pretty chillingly impressive. I saw it a little bit like this

But when is the much-touted Juno finally going to make it to our cinemas?
Meanwhile a very large organization has asked me to give a reference - and is hustling me to do so as quickly as humanly possible. Fair enough - but it would have been nice, you'd have thought, had they also enclosed a stamped addressed envelope to oil the wheels. Tightwads. Sorely tempted to send it postage due...
Explaining how having a child had changed his life, a former Aussie China Daily colleague once told me the smile on his son's face when he got home from work was "worth a million bucks". I had one of those moments tonight after what was a pretty Monday-ish day.
I'll doubtless look back in amazement on that statement when he's eating me out of house and home, demanding whatever the latest computer video game is and rolling his eyes in disgust at my embarrassing dad-esque antics.
But for now, a million bucks doesn't come anywhere close.
