Phew!
It was going to take a BRILLIANT film to stand a chance of keeping me awake after a day shepherding three small girls in and out of a car, into a theatre and then around a playpark.

The stage production of THE GRUFFALO - a story which I know inside out, back to front and blindfold - struck me a little like this:

The FILM that I'd pre-booked without thinking of the implications of the day preceding it was the Daniel Day-Lewis Oscar winner, There Will Be Blood. Twenty minutes short of three hours and with a starting time of 8.45pm. It's not unusual for me to be collapsing into bed at that time on a week night...

But that's quite the performance from DDL and, last thing before bed, I summed it up a bit like this:

Grace had a blast with two of her little nursery pals and for once the two's company, three's a crowd thing didn't seem to be a problem. It's brilliant fun (most of the time) watching them interact from a distance.

Dyson cleaned again (nasty!) and washing out, it's now time to sweet talk Vision Express into fixing my ill-fitting glasses and give my new soup creation a whirl. It's not easy being a domestic goddess.

The second one is an absolute must see.
