Love the leap year front page picture we've got this week and pleased with the 'busyness' of the opening six pages in general. Couple of cracking columns in and some quality letters. From a Monday-ish start, the week just kept getting better. Snap up your copy and let us know what you think!

"Daddy, what's 'fush' mean?" My daughter caught me unawares with that one this morning - I was trying to prevent a toddler pouring a glass of milk over his head at the time. 'Fush', it turns out, is the way the South African narrator of a CD of children's stories she was listening to, pronounces 'fish'. And the funny thing is, the same voice pops up on lots of other such discs. She must work for free or something. I'm all for regional variation in accents but find myself irritated at the 'fush' woman for confusing my kids.

Driving along today I came up behind what I thought was a rather groovy looking vehicle. Risking rear-ending it, I discovered it was a 2.8l Ford Granada estate. Probably 10 years old but somehow much more pleasing to the eye than the identikit cars most of us drive nowadays. Wouldn't fancy filling that petrol tank at 110p a litre mind you...
